On Lake Jocassee

Shot on Lake Jocassee in South Carolina. This was one of those mornings that you remember as a photographer. There was a light fog hanging over the lake at sunrise. As the sun came over the mountains, the fog lifted slightly, and the light that played on the water was spectacular but subtle. What’s the old saying? “F/11 and be there.” Usage was for an intro shot for an outdoor catalog. Shot on film.

Spring Workout

Kevin and Mikki Teague and son John from Liberty, North Carolina brought their two Belgian mares Pearl and Rose by my neighbor Gary McMasters’ farm in Grays Chapel for a little spring workout. Gary hitched the two sisters to a land drag and worked them for a couple of hours to help clear the winter cobwebs. The work horses were raised in the Amish country in Indiana. Kevin bought them when they were around nine years old. They are seventeen and eighteen now.
