Burning the Brushpile

Since 2019 when a tornado swept through Grays Chapel, North Carolina we have been cleaning up the brush and downed trees on the farm and building brush piles. Yesterday the folks that lease my farm began burning the dried brush.

After the Fire

Randolph County, North Carolina lost another historic site this past Saturday when the 1880 circa Worthville Mill burned to the ground. The Worthville cotton mill was one of many that operated along Deep River in Randolph County.
