Local fine artist Louis Brady at his studio near Grays Chapel, North Carolina. Louis paints local scenes from Randolph County but he is also known for his sign painting on small jobs and barns. In his younger days he worked for Coca Cola painting large commercial Coke signs on barns and buildings. I hope to have him work on my studio in the near future.

I look back through my earlier work and occasionally find something that stands the test of time. In 1976 during my Tri-X film days, I photograhed my friend Emmitt in front of his abode near Chapel Hill, North Carolina. That’s “Geronimo”s Cadillac” on the calendar and that’s the song he’s singing.

While going through some storage boxes I came across this photo of my late wife Dedra I took in 1977 at our barn in Grays Chapel, North Carolina, shortly after we were married. The pose always reminded me of Botticelli’s painting “the Birth of Venus”. A tear was shed.
