We’re going through one of the longest cold snaps we’ve had in North Carolina in several years, and today an arctic blast has hit us again, so I’ve been working inside the last few days. The photograph is a studio still life of some old gears, a study in shape and texture.

It has been a rough year for the photography business and 2010 looks to be quite similar, but right now I am warm, healthy, surrounded by my family, and quite thankful for all my blessings. A Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all who follow me. And thank you for coming by.

A summer straight neck squash plant blooms in our vegetable garden in Grays Chapel, south of Greensboro. The weather has been pretty favorable this year for gardens, and we are beginning to see vegetable production begin. Pretty soon it’s going to be a busy time keeping up with all the fresh produce. Less photography and more picking.
