The statue of General Nathaniel Greene stands above the battlefield on a warm fall day at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. Guilford Courthouse was the turning point in the American Revolution and lead to the surrender of British General Cornwallis at Yorktown. Hallowed ground.

Saturday at Alamance Battleground State Historic Site was the unveiling of a marker to backcountry healer Rachel Stout Allen and descendants day for those with ancestors in the Regulator movement. Regulator Rednap Howell and British Royal Governor William Tryon were on hand to give their accounts of the War of Regulation.
