Randolph County, North Carolina lost another historic site this past Saturday when the 1880 circa Worthville Mill burned to the ground. The Worthville cotton mill was one of many that operated along Deep River in Randolph County.

The Old Mill of Guilford, near Summerfield, North Carolina. Water will soon be turning the wheel again it seems. The pipe from the nearby millpond is being relined and the water should start flowing again. The wheel will be used to power a generator which in turn will power the mill equipment.
