I accompanied Jugtown potter Travis Owens to meet geologist Steve Blankenbeker at Taylor Clay Products in Salisbury, NC to pick up a load of pottery clay. The clay originated from near Lemon Springs in Moore County, North Carolina. Travis will take the load back and process it for making pottery.
